Teacher/Student Role
As the teacher you need to have a good understanding of the curriculum and the proper formation of letters before teaching students the curriculum. There are several workshops available along with the teacher guide to show the teacher the curriculum and the correct way to use it. Teachers are also responsible to have the proper supplies needed to for multi-sensory learning. Multi-sensory Teaching Examples: Rock, Rap, Tap and Learn CD: Students will sing and dance their way to better language and motor skills. Wood Pieces: Students use wood pieces to make capital letters. Letter Card and Mat: Helps students master top-to-bottom formation habits Slate Chalkboard: Using a wet sponge on a slate chalkboard students can learn to write capitals by tracing the lines from the wet sponge letters. Double Line on Blackboard: Students learn correct placement to promote neat and fast printing. Workbooks: Students can apply their handwriting skills to paper. |
Student Phases of Learning
1: ImitationThis is where the student watches as the teacher writes and then imitates the teacher.
